Chuck Dahlen


Six years as a welder, 13 years in retail grocery, 10 years as a film stripper and plate maker in a print shop, 7 years as a substitute teacher, 13 years owning and running a boarding and grooming kennel. (Chief job: Fecal Engineer): Also; edited Wisconsin Review and  Fool's Cap, self-published 4 books and started the Wisconsin Poetry Theater to run open readings in the Fox Valley for several years. In 1984 I latched on to blank verse as my major style of writing. This resulted in numerous narrative poems and sonnets. I am currently working on a series of sonnets based on Shakespeare's plays. I am sitting with my dog ‘Poet.’
