2027 Wisconsin Poets’ Calendar
The Wisconsin Poets’ Calendar is one of WFOP’s most cherished annual projects and a celebration of poetry with Wisconsin at its heart. Each edition brings together voices from across the state and beyond, alongside original art, highlighting the insight, craft, and imagination of poets with Wisconsin ties. More than a calendar, it is a gathering place on the page, an opportunity to share meaningful work, connect with readers, and take part in a long-standing tradition of honoring poetry in everyday life.
The 2026 calendar sold out, and the 2027 calendar is currently in progress. Pre-order yours today. Or, when delivered, you may buy a calendar from any of our bookseller partners listed below.
We extend our thanks to the 2027 editors, Kim Parsons and Sheryl Slocum, for their volunteer service and for the time, care, and dedication they have given to this year’s calendar.

2028 & 2029 Wisconsin Poets’ Calendars
The Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets is pleased to announce the editors of its 2028 and 2029 Poets’ Calendars.
Isaiah Janisch of Evansville, Wisconsin, has been selected as editor of the 2028 WFOP Poets’ Calendar. Scott McConnaha of Plymouth, Wisconsin, has been selected as editor of the 2029 WFOP Poets’ Calendar.
Janisch and McConnaha will work with Rosie Rey, WFOP Poets’ Calendar Business Manager, and the WFOP calendar team throughout the editorial and production process. Each editor will guide the creative direction of their calendar year, including the theme, poem selection, writing prompts, artist selection, and organization of the accepted work.
Janisch is a poet, artist, professional writer, and editor whose experience includes work with the Rock River Review and Landward Podcast. He has also taught poetry to middle and high school students and has been published in the WFOP Poets’ Calendar and other journals.
McConnaha is a poet, Army veteran, former educator, journal editor, and healthcare administrator. He is the author of the poetry chapbook Without a Prayer, and his work has appeared in numerous literary publications. He is a member of WFOP's East Region and the Wisconsin Writers Association and serves on the board of directors of the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra.
"We are excited to welcome Isaiah and Scott to the calendar team," Rey said. "They each bring strong editorial experience, thoughtful leadership, and a distinct creative perspective. Their work will help the WFOP Poets’ Calendar continue to grow while honoring its long tradition of showcasing poets from across Wisconsin."
Specific information about the 2028 and 2029 calls for poems will be shared on the website as soon as it’s available.
