Botanical Black Holes

Pollen-laden bees disappear
down the silky throats of
chocolate lilies, chocolate cosmos,
deep purple calla—
wing-dive into the rippling waves
of black hollyhock petals,
into the funnels
of black velvet petunias—
hover at the scent of
swallowed dark desire.
