wiper whoosh wipes
polished asphalt wet
long strokes brushes
on snare drum red and green
amber and white splashing
turning hissss

kaleidoscope dizzy
eyes spinning moons of
passing headlights
through measures of holy
Trane’s soprano
my favorite things sax
twirls girls in white dresses with
blue satin sashes snowflakes
on my eyelashes blurred
street signs I
my lost home way squint
long road rain night this
